The International Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) provides high-quality immigration legal services, education, and civic engagement opportunities to immigrants, refugees, and their families as they join and contribute to the community. With its eight offices throughout the Bay Area that provide legal immigration and other services, as well as through its collaborative efforts with local and regional service providers, IIBA effectively serves immigrants and their families. They offer immigrants the information and assistance they need to understand and exercise their rights and responsibilities. Because of IIBA’s services, more immigrant families obtain stable immigration status in the United States.

The American Bar Association provides resources that can help you locate the contact information for free or low-cost legal services for immigrants and refugees in your state.
American Immigration Lawyers Association
The attorney listings at the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) provide contact information for the general public to contact an AILA attorney directly. You will have to ask the attorney about his or her fees immediately as there is no organization-wide policy. Be sure to mention that you found the attorney at www.ailalawyer.com. All lawyers participating in the service are licensed to practice law in a state or territory of the United States, and are currently members in good standing of a State Bar Association.
ASISTA
ASISTA is a national non-profit dedicated to helping attorneys and advocates assist immigrant survivors of crime with their immigration matters, ultimately enhancing their safety and security. They can also connect survivors to attorneys and advocates in their area who specialize in immigration matters.
Catholic Charities
In most states, Catholic Charities provides legal representation and information for victims of domestic violence with immigration issues. Find the program closest to where you live at their website.
Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC)
Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC) is a directory of immigration legal services organizations (by state). CLINIC’s mission is to enhance and expand delivery of legal services to indigent and low-income immigrants principally through diocesan immigration programs and to meet the immigration needs identified by the Catholic Church in the United States. CLINIC and its member agencies represent low-income immigrants without reference to their race, religion, gender, ethnic group, or other distinguishing characteristics.

They represent and advocate for people from around the world fleeing violence, abuse, and persecution because of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or HIV status. InformedImmigrant.com is a website where immigrant rights organizations and leaders across the country have banded together and pooled resources to help immigrants and their allies obtain the current best-known information and guidance. The Immigrant Women Program is the nation’s expert on the rights and services available to immigrant victims of domestic and other violence. It shares this expertise through comprehensive materials and trainings for lawyers and advocates nationwide, and leads advocacy for legal protections, social services, and economic justice for immigrant women.
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) offers programs for refugees, migrants, and children. LIRS also has a financial aid program to cover the cost of resettlement for refugees and assist them with financial planning.
National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild
The National Immigration Project provides help on various immigration issues, including criminal and deportation defense, fighting immigration enforcement, protecting victims of crimes and defending political rights.
