The Guardian Victim Services Program provides the following services: 30-45 days emergency shelter facility, individual counseling/group support, case management - assessment, treatment planning, treatment services, advocacy–information, referral assistance, and court advocacy. Trained workers are available 24 hours a day. The shelter serves victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence from Mississippi Highway Patrol District 9, an eleven-county area encompassing Adams, Claiborne, Copiah, Franklin, Jefferson, Lawrence, Lincoln, Pike, Wilkinson, and Walthall counties.

The Domestic Abuse Family Shelter (DAFS) is a private, non-profit agency founded in 1984 as a crisis line and shelter. DAFS serves 11 counties (Covington, Forrest, Greene, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lamar, Marion, Perry, Smith, and Wayne). They are a United Way Agency.

Gulf Coast Center for Nonviolence - Harrison County Shelter
The mission of the Gulf Coast Women’s Center is to support and serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and family members of homicide victims; educate the community; and act to reduce incidences of violence. The Center’s domestic violence program provides 24-hour, 7 day per week crisis intervention services, including help with accessing our domestic violence shelter if needed or other community resources. The Center’s sexual assault program provides 24-hour, 7 day per week crisis response to victims of sexual assault, including assisting victims undergoing examination or treatment in local area hospitals. Our advocates may stay with victims to help them through the examination process, offer support, and provide information on follow-up counseling and services. Our Center provides services and support to adult or child victims of human sex trafficking, including assistance with application for available visas and services of foreign-born victims.
Our Center has two shelter facilities to provide services to victims of domestic violence and their children. Residents of Harrison, Hancock, Pearl River, and Stone Counties are served through our Harrison County shelter. Residents of Jackson and George Counties are served through our Jackson County shelter, Adrienne’s House.

Jackson Victim Services is designed and committed to helping victims/survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault during a critical time in their life by utilizing a trauma informed approach to shelter care. Trained workers are available 24 hours a day to provide information and referral to victims of interpersonal violence. Offering: temporary emergency shelter, group counseling, group support and case management. The target population includes victims residing in Mississippi Highway Patrol District #1. The nine county service area includes; Hinds, Madison, Rankin, Simpson, Issaquena, Sharkey, Yazoo, Warren, Copiah counties.

Care Lodge
Care Lodge provides essential services to victims of domestic violence and their children in east central Mississippi. Services include: a 24-hour crisis line, safety planning, emergency shelter, assistance with domestic abuse protection orders, case management, court accompaniment, individual/group counseling, children’s programs, a batterer intervention program, and more. All services are free, confidential, and available both in-person and virtually. Serving Clarke, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Newton, Neshoba, Noxubee, Scott, and Winston counties, as well as communities of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
East Mississippi Sexual Assault Crisis Center, Inc.
The East Mississippi Sexual Assault Crisis Center (EMSCAC) is available to all victims of sexual assault. EMSACC provides counseling services and advocacy services to sexual assault victims and their families. EMSACC’s crisis lines gives victims 24/7 access to resource and referral information as well as in person support when needed at local emergency rooms. There is no charge for any of the services provided by EMSACC.

Center for Violence Prevention
The Center for Violence Prevention has a line of crises and references of twenty-four hours to help in immediate needs. Trained staff will provide a wide range of references and resources. The Center also offers a shelter designed to help families who need a safe environment. There are services to help people start a productive life, regardless of abusive relationships.
