The Immigration Assistance Program (IAP) provides legal representation to eligible clients. Areas of legal representation include: adjustment of status for family members; applications for naturalization; petitions for victims of domestic violence and other victims of crimes; petitions for alien relatives; temporary status protection renewal or initial application; and applications for green card renewal. Legal circumstances must be related to a domestic personal protection order (PPO) or a family law issue such as divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, minor guardianship, etc. You must be low-income and a United States citizen or eligible alien. You must need legal services in Oakland County or live in Oakland County. Your circumstances must be related to a domestic Personal Protection Order (PPO) or family law issue such as divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, minor guardianship, etc. You must not be represented by an attorney. Please bring all documents relating to your legal action to the clinic. This includes all complaints, motions, orders and judgments. For dates and times of the clinics, visit their website. The clinic cannot offer assistance in cases relating to child abuse and neglect.
